Okay, the splash page was awkward at first with all the smileys and the option to enter different sections of the website depending on what you are looking for at the bottom, but I commend Xtube.com for putting a warning notice first before anyone could actually get in. Though it seems rather useless as anyone, whether 18 or not, would most likely just click on the links, the fact that they took the time to make a splash page says a lot about how responsible the makers of the tube website really are about their viewers. I checked out the website’s content, analyzed the videos, and ended up giving Xtube a 6 out of 10 rating for my review.
Video Downloads are Fast
The videos didn’t take that long to download, but they might as well have improved on the looks of their player. I mean, it practically looks like something from a sci-fi fiction novel with its wide chrome frame and big buttons. With regards to content, some of the videos were very blurred, which is something they have to work on unless it’s the quality of the video camera the directors were using, which is very unlikely. If this is the reason why video buffing is fast here, I would be browsing around for hours trying to find a video that’s worth my time.
Messy Lay-out
This is what I dislike very much about Xtube: their entire website lay-out. There are pictures of DVDs, video shots, and what have you all over the place with ads and HTML codes everywhere. Xtube also has a cam section where people can view one another through live cams and so far, they didn’t waste one second in letting people know that there are 18 cams to choose from by putting links under the videos in bold black letters. This may not be an important detail about the website, but if you are aiming for a top rank in this industry, the least that they could do is fix the look of their website in order to keep people from thinking this is just an amateur tube website looking for viewers to click on their links and ads.
Content is Everything Here
With regards to content, Xtube has a lot of stuff to show off to the public. They have everything from college to Asian videos and this is only for those who want straight action. Their other content has twice as much and have as many viewers as those in the straight channel. This I applaud of Xtube.com; content is everything when you’re talking about tube websites. Videos have to be about everything if you really want to make it big as a tube site, so I guess what the makers of the website could do is just improve in visual quality, fix the look of their pages, and get rid of all the codes. Seriously, HTML codes are meant to be in the backstage of every website; don’t display them here because it really hurts the eyes.

I believe your rating of 6 out of ten is pretty accurate. As you mentioned there are several small things that could be done to make the site cleaner, faster etc…
As mentioned the site does have tons of content, the problem is that it is segregated very well. Once past the home page it’s pretty much a free for all content wise. So, you end up with the straight and gay content side by side.
Of course this may be good for some, just not my thing.
I would have to agree with the rating of 6 out of 10 as well. I have been a viewer of X-tube since it first came about and one thing that I have seen is a lot more advertisements and clips with lengths of 10 sec. which are also advertisements for the movie they are trying to promote. I understand that this is how they make their money but someone is getting greedy over there at X-tube. Also I have noticed that when scrolling through the pages, the same content keeps coming up page after page. So they really only have half of what they claim to have since the same clip seems to be at multiple places. I really enjoyed X-tube when they first came out but now dont really bother with it much anymore since it seems like the real amateur content is so few and far between the commercial content, its just not worth it and there is too many other similar sites out there.

I agree with the previous reviewer…Xtube HAS steadily gone down hill. They spam it up now with these shitty 15 second clips ALL OVER THE PLACE. You can’t even filter by video length. The interface has gotten clunky and if you stay on too long as a free viewer, you get bombarded with this pop-up to buy into Xtube or refer people so that THEY can buy into it. Bad idea on their part to do it this way.
