The popular video-sharing site informed people that music owned by Warner will be blocked from its site.

YouTube, which is the most popular video-sharing websites on the Internet, will no longer show music videos from Warner Music due to contract dispute, according to a report from Los Angeles Times.

Last week, the licensing agreement between the music company and the Internet giant collapsed due to undetermined reason, according to a source who requested to be unnamed.

YouTube posted on its site informing people that videos which contain music owned by Warner Music are blocked from the website, adding that securing “licensing contracts with other media companies are sometimes hard.”

The Google-owned video-sharing site explained that it is working with various music companies to allow its users and site visitors to listen to their favorite music but “acquiring license is very complicated.”

The spokesman for YouTube also said that if their company “can’t reach acceptable business terms, there is nothing to do but part ways.”

Despite the collapsed of the licensing agreement, Warner said it was still hoping to immediately resolve the dispute with the popular video-sharing website.

According the music company, it is continuing to find resolution that will allow its music to be made available again in the video-sharing website adding that it is weighing legal agreements to make sure that the songwriters, publishers, labels, and recording artists will be fairly compensated.

YouTube, which was founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees, first made a licensing agreement with Warner Music in 2006, which was handling bigwigs in the field of entertainment including Madonna, Linkin Park, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
