Internet giant Microsoft recently introduced its newest version of web browser tool called Internet Explorer 8 that features improved security and safety tools while providing faster Internet connection for its users.

In a statement, the company said the new web tool has already been introduced on Thursday and has been translated to over 25 languages that will allow users from all over the world to download this tool.

Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer said the latest version of its web tool will provide faster connection and safety features that will protect users from various online threats.

“We have already delivered a new web tool that no other browser can match in terms of speed, capability, user-friendly features, and protection.  This [Internet Explorer 8] is also faster than its all predecessors and has been specifically designed to provide the safest online experience”, Ballmer added.

According to the Internet giant, the new web tool has also been designed to effectively filter more malicious online sites which have been an increasing problem for Internet users nowadays, adding that two to four times more effective in blocking online threats.

Earlier reports said that Internet Explorer is the most widely used web browser in the world, with over three-quarters of computers using this Internet tool.  This is followed by Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari, and Google Chrome.

Last year, the Internet Explorer was under criticism for its lack of security and privacy tools which makes the web browser extremely vulnerable to hackers, fraudsters, and other online threats.  To allay some concerns, the company has mobilized its security engineering team to patch some major flaws of the Internet Explorer.
