To start my view, the majority of the people hate Flash websites it will be because I am used to navigate the traditional way, on that basis, What can annoy more than a page or Flash game where we can’t disable the sound because it doesn’t give us the option?
Lately i have been playing WordBattle, a game in Flash for which unfortunately can not remove the sound and we have no option so that whenever you have been wanting to play music had to remove the soil that listen. The first few times but not since I will die for listening to the music of the game, but the third or fourth time I decided I had to do something.
Firefox has no option sound (or at least I do not know) and Internet Explorer only has a sound that blocks HTML so it should find some other solution to the small but annoying problem. Navigating discovered a blog that gave me the solution, but a method is a bit drastic to me and it is possible that some of you also, to fix the following steps:
1. Go to the folder of the browser we want to block the sound, usually in Firefox is “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox” and Internet Explorer in” C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer “. (It also works in Opera and others)
2. Create an empty file with the name “msacm32.dll”.
3. Close your browser and start again.
4. Chachán!
5. To return to sound simply rename or delete the file created
Something simple but very useful. Especially if you’re an addict mini games and want to hear your music without any inconvenience.

You sir, are amazing. This is exactly what I have been looking for.
Thank you my friend :D
Man, you are a genius !
Hurrey! It works in IE8 too!
This is awesome!! So simple and so effective! I bow before you!! Thanks
There is a better solution, that doesn’t involve that much manual work.
It involves a small software called FlashMute: http://exde601e.blogspot.com/2009/08/block-annoying-flash-sounds.html
It truly does disable the sound. The drawback is that page that normally takes me 4 seconds to load now takes about 20 seconds and you cannot do anything else with IE7 during this time.
What doesn’t adobe offer a way to turn off sound?
Hey mate that works..thnx a ton dear..
