Be careful when buying websites

It is a daily practice selling websites or domains with other people, many of these purchases being made to reuse the page and get more out or to use an existing domain with backlinks and TrustRank to create a new website and has more power in the search engines.

Is this entirely true?

Until today, I thought yes, that if I buy the juegos.com TrustRank with Google will remain the same and I can take advantage of it. What we did not know is that when you change the owner of a domain Google can reset to zero the TrustRank / almost zero.

Does that mean that whenever you buy a website or domain will lose TrustRank?

It has no reason, logic does not have much to say right now that if Youtube.com changes ownership would lose the entire TrustRank. But Matt Cutts said :

If a domain changes hands, Google resets the links goes to zero / near zero.

Come on, which I explained before, and we must take into account the possibility of this happening.

It is somewhat difficult to understand, especially because it does not appear in any of the “guidelines” of Google, and because if we think, if we sell our business to a person, what fault has the buyer if he loses any confidence?
