AT&T Hits Back Critics with “Seth the Blogger Guy” Over iPhone MMS Incapability

US wireless giant AT&T on Friday hits back on critics with “Seth the Blogger Guy” over the delayed multimedia messaging service (MMS) feature of the popular iPhone, which was exclusively being sold by the carrier network.

Seth, who is part of AT&T’s public relations group, discussed the process of creating a new feature for the iPhone in his YouTube blog, saying that preparing a carrier network for the MMS functionality of Apple Inc’s flagship device was not a simple process.

A friendly-looking dude, Seth also said that the drastic increase in the Smartphone devices has made the process even more complicated for AT&T to fasten the process, saying that the network is taking one step at a time to ensure better service to all subscribers.

Based on records, Smartphone sales and usage have increase by more than 300 percent every year since the first generation iPhone was launched.

AT&T wireless has been bombarded with complaints and criticism after it has announced the delay for the launching of the MMS support for the popular iPhone this week.

But Seth the Blogger Guy said that they have been working really hard to prepare the iPhone MMS service specially the radio access controllers in the carrier’s network.

He said that the radio service alone is a very time-consuming process, which means that AT&T have to calibrate the device’s service to all base stations in the US. s

It will be recalled that Seth popped out early in the summer of 2009 after AT&T had a problem in discussing about the 3GS update eligibility and the Wi-Fi auto-authentication of iPhones.

He has been the go-to-guy for the carrier whenever the network needs someone to tell people what to do.

On this time, Seth the Blogger Guy has been in a solemn tone in discussing the delay and asking users to understand the predicament of the company in launching and ensuring the MMS service would be in great shape when it is in full use.
