Apple Set to Release Tablet Device in January — Reports

Reports about the release of a new tablet device by Apple Inc. has intensified on Tuesday as the company allegedly started preparations for its launching in January.

In a report, The Wall Street Journal said that Apple will soon be launching the new tablet-style device this month. The report also said that Apple fans will be able to lay their hand on the 10-inch to 11-inche touch screen device by March.

Based on assessments, analysts said that the new Apple gadget will cost around $500 to $1, 000 with no assurance of a cellular data subscription included in the package.

Analysts said that the new device is set to take on existing e-reader devices in the market today such as Amazon’s Kindle and Sony’s e-Book Reader.

The two rival companies have been having a hard time coping with the strong demand for these devices as Google launches the biggest e-Book library every assembled.

If the speculated launching pushes through in January, Apple will most likely to take more than 40 percent guaranteed market share with millions of fans awaiting its release.

However, Apple Spokesperson Steve Dowling refused to comment on the speculations, saying that the company does not and will not comment on rumors.

It will be recalled that Apple has quite a successful run with the launching of several of its products including the popular iPhone and iPod Touch series.

In an interview, John Dickson, an avid Apple fan, said that he will definitely be buying one for his wife and kids to enjoy.

He added that the device has a huge potential specially with the Apple Application Store operating in unprecedented sales and download rate.
